Afri-Centric partnered with Ceres Rail to refurbish and restore 5 train coaches with historical legacies, to their original glory.

We loaded 200 Silversea Luxury Cruise (Around the World Tour) passengers aboard Ceres Rail's newly refurbished masterpiece and took them on a historical tour to the Cape Winelands for an unforgettable Tale of Tales, during their two-day stopover in Cape Town.

Day 1 saw passengers meandering through dramatic landscapes showcasing the Cape Wineland's majestic mountain views and vineyards before arriving at
Victor Vester Prison in Paarl where Nelson Mandela spent the last months of his imprisonment, before his release. A moving talk and riveting stories by his former PA,
Ms Zelda La Grange was followed by an unforgettable experience in the exquisite underground Cathedral Wine Cellar where guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal paired with locally produced, internationally acclaimed wines.

On Day 2 guests were treated to a private tour of iconic Robben Island. We chartered a boat to the island which had been exclusively booked for our guests. Oysters, champagne and entertainment by local dancers greeted them upon arrival on the island where Nelson Mandela had been incarcerated for 27 years. Former political prisoners led the island tour and shared first-hand accounts of what it was like to serve out their sentence during South Africa's harsh apartheid years.

The tour ended with a visit to the biggest art museum in Sub Saharan Africa- Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) at the V&A Waterfront.
A public, not-for-profit institution, the museum exhibits and preserves contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora; as well as hosts international exhibitions and develops enrichment programmes.
