Sustainability

We do conscious travel. The type of travel that creates real measurable impact that directly empowers the communities and destinations we travel to and demonstrates the benefits of conserving the environment. Authentic travel that celebrates and conserves heritage and culture and uplifts and develops young people in far-flung areas. This is why we're so picky about the destination experts and agencies we choose to work with and the strategic partnerships we enter into. Our network of travel industry professionals ascribe to the same conscious travel ethos that we do and work hard to give back to the communities that host our travellers.

Our efforts at sustainability and creating real impact are four-fold

1. Educate and uplift rural girl children

Afri-Centric focuses on education as a means of creating sustainability, and plays an active role in the education and upliftment of rural children, in particular girl children. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela

We choose to work with mainly women-owned travel operating companies that employ female college graduates. When selecting local guides/experts to accompany travellers, our first choice is always a female guide.

Our long term goal is to create a fund aimed at empowering girl children from rural areas to realise their potential.
